The 3×3 Steel Truss Base is a flat black steel plate, 36 inches square and about 130 pounds, with a bolt pattern for 12-inch box truss and cut-out handles for carrying. A vertical truss section bolts to the center.
The base gives a freestanding tower its footprint and weight. The larger 3×3 plate suits taller towers and towers that carry signage or a crossbar.
For the 2×2 plate, see the 2×2 Steel Truss Base. See all truss.
We deliver, set, and strike throughout Chicago and the suburbs, including McCormick Place, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, downtown hotels, and corporate campuses across Chicagoland.

The 3×3 for taller towers and towers carrying signage or crossbars; the 2×2 for shorter towers and tight spaces. We size bases as part of every truss quote.
Hanging anything from the hall ceiling is done by the show’s official rigging contractor, not by outside vendors. Ground-supported truss standing on steel base plates goes up with your booth during move-in; check your show’s booth height rules first.
