This Privacy Policy explains how Modern Event Rental (“Modern Event Rental,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit moderneventrentalchi.com (the “Site”), request a quote, contact us or rent from us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
Modern Event Rental is a business-to-business event furniture rental company based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, serving corporate events, trade shows and conferences across the Chicago area.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. We collect the information you choose to provide, including when you:
- Fill out a contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
- Request a quote: your name, company, email address, phone number, event date, venue or delivery address, the items you are interested in, and any notes you add. We do not take payments through this Site.
- Download our catalog: your name, email address, phone number and company name.
- Email or call us: the information in your message or conversation, such as booth numbers, floor plans, event details and on-site contacts.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our systems and service providers automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This happens through server logs, security tools and cookies, described below.
Information from others. If an exhibit house, event planner, venue or show organizer refers your event to us, they may share your name, company and event details with us so we can provide a quote or service.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your questions and prepare quotes
- To plan, deliver, set up and pick up your rental, including coordinating with venues, show organizers and contractors
- To complete paperwork you ask us to handle, such as outside-vendor (EAC) forms and certificates of insurance for a trade show
- To send invoices, keep business and tax records, and collect payment through our normal billing process
- To send you emails about our products and services if you have done business with us or contacted us; you can opt out at any time. We do not send marketing emails to people who have not done business with or contacted us.
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
- To protect the Site against spam, fraud and security threats
- To comply with the law and enforce our agreements
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, including your email address, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels on this Site. We share personal information only as needed to run our business, as described here:
- Service providers who work on our behalf, such as website hosting and security, content delivery, email, analytics, spam and bot protection, and review display. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Delivery crews and subcontractors who help us deliver, install and remove rentals, limited to the details they need for the job, such as the venue, the schedule and an on-site contact.
- Venues, show organizers and their official contractors, when needed to schedule deliveries or to complete outside-vendor requirements you ask us to handle.
- Legal and safety reasons, if required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.
- Business transfers, if our business is sold or merged, in which case your information may transfer to the new owner under this Policy.
Cookies, Analytics and Third-Party Services
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work, such as remembering items in a quote request, and for security and analytics. The Site uses these third-party services:
- Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit), which uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- hCaptcha, which protects our forms from spam and bots. It collects device and interaction data under the hCaptcha Privacy Policy.
- Akismet, which screens comments and form submissions for spam.
- Google Maps and Google reviews widgets, which may load content and collect your IP address when a page with a map or reviews is displayed.
- Cloudflare and WP Engine, which host the Site, deliver it securely and keep security logs that may include IP addresses.
- Mailchimp, which we use to send marketing emails. Mailchimp records whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked so we can see what is useful to our customers, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Mailchimp’s handling of data is described in the Intuit Privacy Statement.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site, such as the quote request, may not work properly.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy, for example to manage your rentals and our customer relationship, and as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and security monitoring on the Site. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing emails: you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We will still send messages about quotes and rentals you request.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. We may keep some information when the law requires it or for legitimate business records, such as invoices.
- Cookies: you can manage cookies through your browser settings and opt out of Google Analytics as described above.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. To make any request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Children’s Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
The Site links to websites we do not control, such as venue, show and supplier sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make significant changes, we may also provide a more prominent notice on the Site.
