The Black Pub Table is a 23.5-inch round black top on a slim silver column with a round base, and it adjusts. A gas lift moves the top anywhere from 26 inches up to 41 inches, which is the whole reason to choose it over a fixed-height cocktail table.
At its full 41 inches it is a standing cocktail table for a reception. Dropped to 26 inches it becomes a low table set among lounge seating, at the right height for guests who are sitting rather than standing. That is one product covering two setups, and it can be changed over on site between a reception and an after-party rather than swapped out.
The compact 23.5-inch top is deliberate. A smaller round lets you place more tables across the same floor, which is what keeps glasses off the ground in a crowded room. Black is the most forgiving of the three finishes: it hides rings and marks through a long night and reads cleanly in dim rooms and against dark carpet.
Any of our bar stools pair with it at full height, since they all sit at a 29 to 30 inch seat. The same table comes with a white or mahogany top.
