The Tiffany Gold Shelf is a display piece rather than storage. An open gold frame carries five levels of clear acrylic, four shelves plus a usable top surface, and stands 71 inches tall on a footprint only 15 inches deep. The whole point of it is that it holds things up without asking to be looked at.
Clear shelves and an open frame are what make that work. There is no back panel and no solid surface to stop the eye, so light carries through the piece and what registers is the product, the packaging or the prize on the shelves. It screens a space without closing it off, which makes it as useful for defining a display area or softening an empty corner as it is for merchandising.
