Restaurant Show booth furniture has to work harder than at most trade shows. The National Restaurant Association Show fills McCormick Place from May 22 to 25, 2027, with more than 2,000 exhibitors, and most booths are sampling, pouring or demonstrating something. That means counters, bars and standing tables doing real work all day. This guide covers how to bring your own furniture vendor, what the booths need and when to act.
Using Your Own Furniture Vendor at the Restaurant Show
The Restaurant Show lists furniture among the services an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) can provide. The process, based on recent shows:
- The exhibitor designates the EAC through the show’s online EAC portal before the deadline and pays a per-booth administrative fee.
- The EAC receives instructions by email and uploads its certificate of insurance and registration documents.
- McCormick Place must also approve the EAC. Contractors are not allowed on the floor during show hours, so set-up happens during move-in and strike during move-out.
In 2024 the deadline was April 16, about five weeks before the show. The 2027 date hasn’t been published yet; check the Restaurant Show exhibitor service kit when it opens and plan to designate your vendor by mid-April 2027. Our McCormick Place EAC guide explains how the process works across shows in the building.
A note on the Official Service Provider Seal
The show warns exhibitors about unsolicited offers from companies without its Official Service Provider Seal. That warning is aimed at vendors who contact you uninvited. Choosing your own furniture company and designating it through the EAC portal is the show’s own route for outside vendors, and the portal is where the show checks that vendor’s insurance.

What Restaurant Show Booths Need
- Sampling counters and bars. A branded event bar or counter is where product meets buyer. Most of our bars take a vinyl logo wrap.
- Back-bar display. Bar and display shelving shows off bottles, packaging and product lines behind the counter.
- Standing tables for tasting conversations. Bar tables and bar stools give operators a place to set down a sample and talk.
- A quiet corner for distributor and chain buyers. A small lounge or meeting table at the back of the booth, with charging furniture for four long days.
Restaurant Show booth furniture by booth size
- 10×10: one sampling counter and one bar-height table. Leave the aisle side open.
- 10×20: a counter or short bar at the aisle, back-bar shelving behind it, and two bar tables.
- 20×20 and islands: a full bar such as the 8 ft Illuminated Bar Table for pouring, a lounge for buyer meetings, and bar tables around the demo area.
